Welcome to My Website!

I have established this page as a service to my students and their parents. Please take advantage of its resources, but use it properly. I currently teach eighth grade science at Hadley Junior High in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. When I have a little free time I enjoy hiking, bike riding, and snorkeling. I also greatly enjoy spending time with my wife and three children.

Using science and math to figure things out.
Try this one...

As a police investigator you have been called upon to complete the description of a person wanted for robbery.  You arrive at the store and obtain a picture of the individual using the video surveillance camera located in the store.  At the scene of the crime you measured the height of the actual cash register.

The actual cash register measured 39 centimeters from the base of the leg to just above the black LCD.

All that remains is for you to calculate the height (feet /inches) of the person in  the picture measuring from the tip of the right toe to the top of the head.

To enlarge the image on your screen, try pressing the Ctrl key and rotating the wheel on you mouse.

To check your answer: Come to Room 135 and ask me how tall I am.
